Remembering Gerald B. Shreiber

Gerald B. Shreiber, a visionary entrepreneur and beloved philanthropist, passed away on May 9, 2026, at the age of 84. Born in Bridgeton, New Jersey in 1941, he lived a life defined by determination, integrity, and generosity.

Shreiber built his legacy not only in business, but through his character. Known for his honesty and kindness, he gave extensively to charity throughout his life. Friends and colleagues described him as a serious businessman with a deeply compassionate heart.

Beyond his professional achievements, Shreiber was a passionate animal advocate, a steadfast supporter of Israel, and a devoted fan of Philadelphia sports. His love for his heritage was unmistakable.

“Gerald was a very special person,” said Rabbi David Katz, Executive Director of the Israel Heritage Foundation. “The Jewish nation lost a proud Jew who loved Hashem, Israel, and every Jew. He was someone who gave loads of charity and carried himself with honesty and dignity.”

Shreiber’s greatest pride was his family. He leaves behind his devoted wife Melanie, with whom he shared a beautiful life, as well as children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

The Israel Heritage Foundation extends its deepest condolences to the entire Shreiber family. May his memory be a blessing.
